Chapter 9

We look at Hebrews 9.

This chapter is so rich and full of pictures and shadows that help us appreciate the reality of Jesus.

This chapter helps us to understand the old covenant rituals and regulations so we can apply it and see the beauty of the fulfillment with Christ's one time sacrifice.

Jesus' blood is so much better than the blood of bulls and goats because animal blood cannot give the worshiper a clear conscience.

Jesus made a last will and testament and for it to go into effect, He needed to die and at His death, He ushered in a new covenant with His blood.

We learn about the first covenant and why it was replaced and what this new covenant offers to those who believe.

Forgiveness only comes through the shedding of blood so this chapter helps us to understand the complete and total forgiveness we possess because of Christ's offering.

He is not going to offer any more forgiveness, the issue is settled. He will come back again, not to deal with sin, He already did that.

When He comes back, He is coming back to get those that are waiting for Him.

What a rich and wonderful chapter this is that opens our understanding even more of this beautiful plan of redemption.
