49 What Makes Me Right with God?

Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we talk about depression and the answer. Knowing about joy and peace is very different than experiencing it in our life. I know the promises of God are good, but how do I get there? What single truth can I learn that could change my entire life and how can I avoid allowing the enemy to steal, kill and destroy the abundant life Jesus came to give me? We also talk about other truths surrounding the resurrection of the Christ and what it really means when we celebrate Good Friday and Easter. Forgiveness is only half of the gospel, and we discuss the other half, the half of the story that makes us alive. These topics and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast. Thanks for joining in.

47 Where Do I Start?

Today we looked at our starting place and when the new covenant begins. Does Jesus tell us to follow all His commandments, or does He say the new covenant began when He died? What is our inheritance and how can I know that I can start spending it today? We explore the necessity for forgiveness to be possible and how we go about receiving it from the Lord when we mess up. We also look at prayers that make sense, so we don’t waste our time asking for things we already have. How does God feel about my sin and how can I get in agreement with Him? These topics and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast. We are so glad you joined us today.

46 Do I Need to Grow Up?

Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we ask some questions about where the control is coming from in our lives.  Are we careful to listen and follow the Holy Spirit inside of us, or are we still being controlled by other people? When it comes to our relationship with God, we are free to hear and follow the voice of the Holy Spirit saying this is the way, walk in it.  We are reminded we are the church; it is not a place we go. When we remember that, we can look for opportunities in our lives to be the church and share the incredibly good news in Christ.  Complete and total forgiveness is available in Christ and there is nothing we need to do to add to it. It is freedom in every area. We also talk about the author of Hebrews rebuking his readers for being infants. They were still hanging on to the Law of Moses and needed to let go of that and move into the gospel of grace.  They couldn’t teach others because they were still in need of someone to teach them. The material we look at in today’s podcast is an effort to remedy that and help us grow up to the new covenant truths so we can not only live them but share them with others. We are so glad you joined us today.

45 How Am I Changed?

Today on our Grace at LAST podcast we look at how we are changed and acceptable to God. Is God more pleased with us when we give money, go to church, read our Bibles, and do other religious things? Do I go to church because I think it is required of me as a Christian, or am I free to be led by the Holy Spirit and do what He puts on my heart? Will other’s judge me if I don’t participate in these things and am I allowing other people to control me based on their beliefs, even though I may be forsaking mine? Will I forfeit blessings from God if I don’t serve and give to the kingdom? These topics and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast.

44 All About Me?

Today we look at our premise, our starting point. Are we sharing messages and thinking more about what we are doing, or is Christ really the center of the gospel we share? Have we shrunk Jesus and magnified our works and embrace psychology and formulas to the simple message of grace? Is the Bible really Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth or have we missed the true message of the finished work of Christ and continue to live as if the Bible were instructions to a good life now and the promise of heaven later? If we have believed lies that our relationship with the Lord is determined by the level of our commitment, let’s realign our thinking with truth and remember what Jesus completed and left us in His will. He said, “It is Finished”, let’s believe Him.

43 How is my Perspective?

Today on the Grace at LAST podcast we talk about our perspective. How are we looking at life? God has given us an opportunity to live with His perspective from way up high where our troubles look small and are not too difficult for Him. The question is are we going to Him or are we going to other people, places, and things to get our deepest needs met? Are we forfeiting the inheritance Jesus left us just because we do not know how to live in the reality of it today? These questions and more on the Grace at LAST podcast. We pray you are blessed by God’s love and truth as you listen to His message in Christ that is guaranteed to set us free when we believe.

42 Do I Need to Ask for Forgiveness?

Today we look at the forgiveness subject. Understanding the finality of the cross and what Christ has accomplished on our behalf, will propel us into the reality of the inheritance Jesus brought to us in the new covenant. Understanding the Law of Moses and what relevance that is today, is also vital in our understanding if we are going to walk in the fullness of our inheritance in Christ. What traditions are merely passed down by man and which ones are truth, and how do I know? These questions are important, and we will cover these topics and more on our Grace at LAST podcast. We are really glad you joined us today.

41 What Does God Expect of Me?

On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we look at what God expects of us. Are we required to sacrifice this life to live for Jesus? Does God need us to preach the salvation message or people will perish and it will be our fault for not sharing? Does God give us books, devo’s, and sermons to tell us how to think or is there a better relationship available with God? Living from the inside out, not mimicking other people’s lives, is what the new covenant is all about. Let’s continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as we uncover some more common misbeliefs about what is required of us as Christians. These things and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast.

40 Am I Good or Evil?

On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we look at the scripture in Jeremiah 17:9 when he said man’s heart is desperately wicked. Is that us? Are we wicked or are we reading other people’s mail? The book of Jeremiah was not written to you and me, it was addressed to the Jews. Let’s stay in our own lane and see what God has to say to us after the death and resurrection of His Son. These things and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast.

38 Am I Righteous?

On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we look at righteousness and how it is obtained. We are asking questions regarding what Christ has already accomplished so we can live in the reality of our inheritance instead of waiting on something already here. I believe righteousness falls into that category because we can believe our righteousness comes from right choices and behavior. We can view it as coming and going depending on how we are doing. When we understand the finished work of Christ, we will see things differently. We are so glad you tuned in today.

37 What is God’s Will for My Life?

Today we talk about the will of God for our lives. Is there just one path God has for me or am I free to choose whatever path I desire, and God will be with me no matter what? What are we teaching the younger generation about what God wants of them and are we unknowingly putting them in bondage and robbing them of the free will God gave them? Christ came to set us free, and I believe our subject today uncovers a little more freedom we can appreciate and enjoy on this journey called life in the new covenant.

36 Am I Justified by Works Plus Faith?

Today we talk about works and ask the question if they are a part of what makes us right with God? Does God expect every person to lead people to Jesus and are we required to be in ministry exercising our spiritual gifts? Are we in danger of being out of God’s will and possibly even excluded from heaven if I don’t have works to prove my faith is real? How can I know if I am doing enough and the right things? From where do I get my acceptance from God daily? These questions and answers and more on the Grace at LAST podcast. We are so glad you tuned in today. 35 Must I Decrease?

On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we looked at how God feels about us living to the fullest. Does God desire for me to decrease so there is more of Jesus and less of me? I believe God created us all unique and special and we can embrace who we are and who others are also. Acceptance is so important if we are going to experience the rest that Jesus is offering us to enjoy. As we continue to realize how much God really loves us and is pleased with us, the more we will grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Thank you for joining us today.

34 Am I Accepted by God or Not?

Today on the Grace at LAST podcast we ask the question if we are perfectly accepted by God for all time, or do we need to keep ourselves acceptable through forgiveness and confession? I know the Bible refers to the Gospel as the Good News, but it doesn’t always seem good to me. What am I missing? Have I mistaken things for a relationship with God that are only traditions passed down by man, and how do I know? Was Jesus speaking to me when He gave the commandments in the gospels? Why are so many things being said confusing to me and seem to contradict one another? These are the things we will talk about today on the Grace at LAST podcast and we are so glad you joined us. We also mentioned and want to share The Grace Cafe’ and The Unsunday Show Podcasts.

32 Are You Made in the Image of God?

On today’s Grace at LAST podcast, we talk about the prayer Jesus prayed for us and what we have been given from God in answer to that prayer. We will learn more about what God really thinks of us and understand further the finality of the cross. We also talk about some things you may have never considered before. Is man created in the image of God or have we misunderstood what God said in Genesis when He said He created man in His image? We also discuss the meaning of eternal life and ask does that mean that I will live forever? These topics and more on today’s Grace at LAST podcast.

31 Jesus’ Prayer Request

Today we look at the first half of John 17 so we can get a true understanding of what Jesus prayed when He prayed to the Father. Nothing like the prayer He told His disciples in Matthew 6, but a very different insight. Let us be sure we are in the right place on the timeline of life. We are in a covenant that is nothing like the previous covenant given to the Jews. Let’s learn about it as we get a glimpse into the prayer Jesus prayed for His disciples.

30 How Should I Pray?

Today we look at the Lord’s prayer and ask if this is a model or prayer that is appropriate for us to pray? Does it make sense after the cross? Who was Jesus speaking to and why did He say those things? Can we become religious to be seen by others and find our acceptance and identity in how others perceive us? If so, how can we get out of that behavior? These are the questions we will look at today on our Grace at LAST podcast.
